Action Bar

The action bar sits at the top of the Configurator, above the configuration tabs. It carries the state of the process you are building, and everything you can do to the process as a whole.

  • Valid / Invalid: shows the current status of the program. Clicking this button will take you to the Info Tab of the configurator showing what needs to be corrected.
  • Undo / Redo: step backwards and forwards through your edits (Ctrl + Z and Ctrl + Shift + Z). Each entry is named after the change it reverses, so hovering tells you what is about to go. Both are greyed out when there is nothing to undo or redo.
  • Save draft: saves a draft revision of the program, and asks for an optional message describing the change. Saving a draft does not deploy: nothing changes for anyone using the process. Saved programs can be accessed via the Resources window.
  • Deploy: publishes the program as the live process. You are asked to confirm first: a first deploy tells you the process goes live as it stands and can be started right away, a later one adds that running instances keep the revision they started on. Confirming runs the Create Process core process for a new program, or Update Process for one that already exists, creating a new version. You then land on the process itself.

Invalid processes cannot be deployed

While the program is invalid, Deploy is greyed out and cannot be clicked. Click Invalid to see what is missing.

The overflow menu

The ⋮ menu at the end of the bar holds the two entries that are not part of everyday building.

Export: downloads the process as a file.

New: clears the workspace and starts a fresh process. You are warned first if the current one has unsaved changes.
