Deploy and Execute your Process
Your process is now ready to go live.
In this step, you will deploy it and start your first instance.
1. Deploy the process
Use the Deploy action in the Action Bar.
- Open your process in the builder.
- Click
Deploy. - Confirm.
If Deploy is greyed out, your process is still invalid.
Click Invalid to see what needs to be corrected: missing configuration, incomplete steps, or broken connections.
You are asked to confirm before anything goes live. A first deploy tells you the process goes live as it stands and can be started right away; deploying a process that already exists adds that running instances keep the revision they started on, so nothing in flight is disturbed.
Confirming runs the Process (Processes) core flow, which creates the process from your builder model, or adds a new version to one that already exists.
2. Start your first instance
Deploying takes you straight to the process. It is live: there is no separate activation step.
Click Start Process to launch an instance. The tabs below list the instances of this process as they run, and ⋮ reaches the builder again, the process details, and its revision history.
Deploying again from the builder publishes a new version. Instances that are already running stay on the version they started on.
