A task can be reported as not completable, and the reason reaches the step that handles it.

  • I can’t complete this task: Open About this task on any task and report what is blocking you. The step fails with your reason attached; the process continues on its error path if the step has one, otherwise the instance stops with the reason on record. Agents get the same outcome through the API. How it works

  • The reason travels with the failure: A step with an error branch now shows an Error section in the builder, On failure, write the reason to. Put that variable into the handling task’s context and whoever picks it up sees why. Error handling in the builder

The task page and the instance page have been rebuilt.

  • The task page: The form and its context sit side by side, and the divider can be dragged. You see what you are deciding on without scrolling away from the form.

  • The instance page: The trail on top, below it what has happened and what is still waiting. Clicking a step opens its details with inputs, results and the roles allowed to carry it out.

  • One consistent look: Headings, spacing and values follow the same rules everywhere, and a page loads in its final shape instead of jumping into place.

  • Building processes: An empty builder greets you with a single-page assistant. Connections now ask “how does it continue?” instead of speaking in jargon, and steps can be inserted directly on a connection.

  • Find anything with ⌘K: Processes, tasks, data, and by now every single setting, taking you straight to the right control. Try ⌘K

Find anything instantly, from anywhere.

  • Global search with ⌘K: Press ⌘K (or Ctrl+K) on any page, or use “Search” at the bottom of the navigation. It finds processes, tasks, users and datastores as you type; pasting a run id opens its instance directly. Recently opened items appear before you even type.

A nudge when work arrives for you, and a Monitor you can leave open.

  • Know when a task arrives: The Tasks entry in the navigation carries a count of the work waiting for you, wherever you are in the app. Your browser can also notify you the moment a task is assigned, and clicking the notification opens it. It stays off until you allow it. Turn it on in Settings

  • Monitor, rebuilt: See what your workspace is doing right now: the instances that just changed, your busiest processes, and a transaction feed showing who did what, in which process. It keeps itself up to date, so you can leave it open instead of refreshing, and the feed is newest-first rather than in no particular order. Open the Monitor

See everything one person is working on, in one place.

  • Actor detail: A page per person showing what they have open, what they recently finished, and what they are allowed to do. You can read someone else’s inbox when you need to pick up their work or find out what a process is waiting on. Open Users

metamorphOS speaks German, and shows you around.

  • German throughout: The whole interface is available in German, picked up from your browser and changeable at any time. Workspaces can set a default language for new members. Change your language

  • Guided tours: A short walkthrough introduces the task inbox, processes and instances the first time you meet them, pointing at the real thing on screen rather than a separate tutorial. You can switch tours off whenever you like.

  • Help, with the documentation behind it: The Help page now links straight into the documentation and shows the status of feedback you have sent. Read the documentation

See what your integrations actually received, and connect to more of them.

  • Webhook delivery history: Every inbound delivery is recorded and listed on the integration, including the ones that matched no route. Previously a webhook that did not arrive as expected left nothing to look at; now you can see what came in and what happened to it. Open Integrations

  • More ways to connect: Inbound webhooks accept signed JWTs verified against published keys, with several keys per credential, and outbound connections support the client-credentials OAuth flow for service-to-service APIs.

Bring people from outside your workspace into a task, and a faster way to sign in.

  • Send a task to anyone with a link: Need an answer or some information from someone who does not use the platform? Send them a single task as a link. They open it in their browser, confirm their email, fill it in, and you get the response back. Previously everyone who had to complete a task needed an account in your workspace, now you can collect input from clients, suppliers, or colleagues outside it, with no sign-up required.

  • Sign in with Google: Use your Google account to sign in, with no separate password to set up or remember. Previously you signed in with an email and password, now you can also continue with Google in one click. Microsoft accounts work the same way.

A new instance page, drag and drop everywhere, and data you can actually read.

  • Redesigned instance page: The process trail sits at the top, execution history and inputs sit side by side below. You can see where an instance has been, where it is now, and what it is working on at a glance.

  • File drop zones: File and file-array inputs now accept drag and drop, with a clear target area and a click-to-select fallback. Single files use a compact zone, file arrays use a larger one to invite multiple drops.

  • Richer context preview: Object arrays render as scrollable tables with row counts, files show name and size with a thumbnail, and file arrays expand inline so you can browse and download without leaving the page. Previously you saw raw JSON or a plain filename, now you see the data itself.

Real-time sync and the changelog.

  • Real-time updates: The dashboard now updates everywhere within seconds when processes advance, tasks complete, or data changes. No more manual refreshing

  • Changelog: New releases appear in the kebab menu. Major updates show a toast notification

March 26, 2026

Redesigned task experience.

  • New task list: Switch between a chronological feed and a grouped view. Groups show a count, can be collapsed, and support batch operations

  • Side-by-side task layout: Task form and context information appear next to each other. The divider is draggable. On smaller screens, context folds below the form

  • New input components: All input fields now show validation inline before you submit

  • Automatic transaction recovery: Delayed events are recovered in the background automatically

March 20, 2026

Builder tools.

  • Turn-into for nodes: Convert a node to a different action type without deleting it

  • Symbol definition export: Export symbol definitions to reuse across processes

  • Object preview: Nested objects display formatted instead of raw JSON

March 19, 2026

Small improvements.

  • Persistent task controls: Abort and submit buttons stay visible as you scroll

  • Multi-select without limits: Selection fields no longer cap how many values you can choose

March 17, 2026

Connector editor overhaul.

  • New connector editor: Rebuilt with datastructure inheritance and nested types

  • Unified field builder: Symbols, fields, and specifications share a consistent editor

  • Full array support: Arrays of objects, nested structures, and push operations work in the builder and connector editor

  • Automatic reference sync: Datastructure references stay in sync across integrations

February 20, 2026

Integration observability.

  • Integration call logs: See the full request and response for every integration call a process makes

February 16, 2026

Email integration.

  • Native email inboxes: Claim email addresses or domain patterns, configure allowed senders. Incoming emails are parsed with attachments and delivered as webhooks to trigger processes

February 8, 2026

New symbol type.

  • Symbol type: Instance: Reference instances of another process. Define filters on status, name, or context variables and use them for cross-process lookups

January 11, 2026

Builder productivity.

  • Undo/redo and copy/paste: Undo and redo changes in the builder. Copy instructions via right-click and paste them with symbols and connections preserved

January 9, 2026

Symbol visibility.

  • Symbol usage display: A usage counter appears next to each symbol. Click it to select all instructions that use it. Unused symbols are dimmed
